Howler Monkey Research and Reintroduction

We currently have four howler monkeys (Alouatta pigra) undergoing rehabilitation.

All are in adjacent cages and have shown positive interactions which is very encouraging for their introductions and forming a cohesive group.  All are eating a largely natural diet - which takes about two hours each day to collect!

At almost two years of age, "Dudley" is the oldest.
Next in line is "Agatha", a nearly one year old female most recently confiscated.
The two babies, "Bonnie" and "Clyde" were confiscated within weeks of each other and have just reached about eight months of age.
They have been housed together for the past four months and spend a lot of time playing together, or sleeping in their hammock.
